Surprise Buy More and Pay Less For Gifts!

Christmas is upon us and everyone is looking for a deal and bargain and I am no exception.

But what if I told you that buying more could actually help you pay less for gifts!
Yes, it's true and here is my example to prove it then I will show you ways you can save too!

I received a coupon that if I spent $30 I would save $10.
So there was an gift I needed for my office that was $39.99 and with the coupon would be $29.99. Perfect.
When I got to the store the gift was on sale for $29.99!
Great it's on Sale, but what about the coupon.

Well I went ahead and got a fun little treat for the office for $5 and my total was now $34.99.
Now I could use the coupon for $10 off and now my total was $24.99!

What I love about this was by spending a little more I was able to get the gift I wanted for less but I basically got chocolates for the office for Free.

These type of savings happen all the time if you look for them.
Here are some words of wisdom to when looking for these bargains.

1. Know the exact gift or item you are shopping for or want.
- Don't impulse shop because then you will spend up to get the bargain

2. Determine the Cost of that purchase - $24, $69, $96 etc...
And find out the shipping costs for your purchase.

3. See if there are any Free Shipping Coupons or Discounts if your Order reaches a specific amount.

4. Compare Your Cost and Shipping verse any Offers and Then See if by adding one more item you can save more by buying something else.

10 Ideas to Help You Create Your Christmas Gift List

If you are like me you are just realizing that we are almost in the middle of December and I have yet to put together my Christmas List. While I spend hours trying to find great gift ideas for Gift Idea Center, I some how forgot to come up with my own list.

Well, if you are like me and have yet to create your Christmas List for loved ones, I have 10 ways you can come up with your own Christmas list in no time.

Let’s Get Started
Quickly List 3 – 5 answers (or more) for each question.

1. I need the following items for home / apartment?
Tip: Personal care, kitchen, living room, basic necessities…

2. I need the following items for work / school?
Tip: Car care - transportation, computer, briefcase / backpack items, office, books…

3. I need the following items for personal development / health?
Tip: Courses, books, vitamins, fitness items – If not applicable move on.

4. What home / apartment gift would make my live easier?

5. What work gift would make my life easier?

6. List up to 3 items you use most often. Now are there 1 to 3 accessories / upgrades that would improve or increase enjoyment these items.

7. List up to 3 of your favorite hobbies or sports. What gifts would increase the enjoyment of these sports or hobbies list 1 – 3 items.

8. If you need or want clothing complete the following:
My sizes are:
I would enjoy receiving: Knit shirts, sweaters, pants, jeans, etc… (List 3 or 4)

Once you have your gift ideas, you can fine tune the list and come up with your top 10 or 20 items that you need or would like to receive this Christmas.

Teen, College and Music Fan Gift - Earphone Hoodies

When my friend starts out with "This is the coolest thing - it's a hoodie with earphones in the drawstrings," I knew I had to blog about this today.

My friend works at Disney and said a co-worker had purchased this Disney hoodie with the build in earphones and it was so cool. While I normally don't look for Disney to be a tech leader, I had to investigate these earphone hoodies further.

FYI - I love the concept, the idea that you can be warm, comfortable, not have to worry about wires and listen to your music sounds awesome and convenient too. College students would love this as they walk to classes and teens would love it because it makes their life easier, heck I would love it just because I hate the wires dangling around getting tangled or caught on something.

Hoodie Buddie - Is the leader in earphone hoodies and we found out the graphic Disney Hoodies were made by them. Hoodie Buddie also has a variety of colorful fashion styles for the ladies and basics for guys. The photo shown is a Hoodie Buddie.

Rusty Wired - Rusty makes surf clothing and offers about a dozen earbud hoodies in solid colors and one or two sporty versions for guys and girls.

InSound - These hoodies and jackets are just for the ladies. The looks are casual, relaxed and young. They only had a few styles I could locate. 

If you know someone that wears hoodies and has an iPod or MP3 player then you might have found your Christmas gift for them. I might just pick one up myself.

Weird Christmas Gifts - My First Bacon Plush

Over the weekend we created a Weird Christmas Gifts page featuring odd and strange Christmas gifts. While these gifts are very unique they just stuck us as odd. So we are going to share some of our favorite weird Christmas gifts and see who might be receiving these special gifts this Christmas.

Our First featured gift is My First Bacon. For meat lovers there is nothing more exciting than waking up in the morning to bacon cooking on the stove. Just the smell of bacon can make someone's day.

Lately the "All Thing Bacon Fad" has in a sense jumped the pan and is not moving into the cuddly push market so now you can take the love of bacon with you where ever you go.

Says creative stuff like "I'm Bacon" and is always smiling too. Just imagine sitting down to breakfast having some bacon and hearing a cute and fun bacon strip say "I'm Bacon" and Mom replies "Welcome of course you are honey." And bacon says "Don't call me honey!" Stop - Time out!!! The bacon doll does not say "Don't call me honey!" it says "I'm Bacon" (RIP Leslie Nielson)
